A sample review is more useful when it produces a written decision. Define the questions before opening the evaluation kit.

Identify the sample precisely

Record the formula or sample code, flavor version, pouch material, can model and date received. Note the condition of the package. Photographs can support the record, but they should not replace the identifiers needed to trace the actual sample.

Review sensory and physical details

Capture aroma, sweetness, cooling, aftertaste, pouch feel and practical handling against the agreed brief. Keep observations separate from conclusions about safety or effectiveness. A pleasant sample does not establish shelf life or support a clinical claim.

Close the review with an action

State whether the sample is approved, approved with conditions or needs revision. List the exact changes requested and the criteria for the next review. A clear decision makes the following development round more focused and helps prevent later disagreement about what was accepted.

Put the decision into your project record

Use a short record that names the product or sample version, the decision required, the supporting information and the person responsible for approval. If a point is unresolved, record the next action before moving to the following approval. This makes the discussion more useful than a general request for the “best” formula or package.

For a production quotation, identify each SKU and its quantity. The current minimum is 3,000 cans per SKU and 9,000 cans per order. Sample evaluation is discussed separately and does not create a production order.

Questions to bring to the discussion

What should I send with this question?

Include the target market, product direction, relevant sample or model code and the decision you want to make. Attach current specifications or evidence where available.

Does this guide establish product effectiveness?

No. It is sourcing and development guidance. Finished-product suitability, claims and commercial terms require a project-specific review.
