A label revision can affect claims, identifiers, directions or commercial details. Treat the final artwork as a controlled part of the product specification.

Use one current master file

Give every approved artwork version a clear name and date. Keep the print-ready file separate from draft previews. Record who approved the text, geometry and appearance so the production team can identify the correct file without interpreting a chain of messages.

Review the consequence of a change

A new flavor name may require an ingredient or allergen review; a different can can change the dieline. Check the related records whenever an artwork field changes. Do not assume that changing a few words leaves the rest of the specification unaffected.

Check the physical result

Compare the printed proof with the approved master for legibility, placement and opening behavior. Resolve differences before the full run. Keep a traceable record of the accepted proof and the final package configuration.

Put the decision into your project record

Use a short record that names the product or sample version, the decision required, the supporting information and the person responsible for approval. If a point is unresolved, record the next action before moving to the following approval. This makes the discussion more useful than a general request for the “best” formula or package.

For a production quotation, identify each SKU and its quantity. The current minimum is 3,000 cans per SKU and 9,000 cans per order. Sample evaluation is discussed separately and does not create a production order.

Questions to bring to the discussion

What should I send with this question?

Include the target market, product direction, relevant sample or model code and the decision you want to make. Attach current specifications or evidence where available.

Does this guide establish product effectiveness?

No. It is sourcing and development guidance. Finished-product suitability, claims and commercial terms require a project-specific review.
